My view on charitable giving was originally limited to giving cash to my church. But when I began accepting donations to UBN, I learned that giving can take different forms.
Over the years, we’ve had generous people donate stock, copy machines, IRAs, and even a $20,000 luxury car! Business owners can also donate stock in their businesses, real estate, or even inventory. These assets allow generous people to give more than just cash.
Moses said to the Israelites in Exodus 35:5, “Take from among you a contribution to the Lord. Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the Lord’s contribution: gold, silver, and bronze.”
If you have a generous heart don’t limit yourself to just cash gifts. Your noncash assets could advance the Kingdom in far greater ways.
