My wife, Kathy, recently visited a car wash. When Kathy approached the attendant’s booth, the attendant began sharing about the benefits of their monthly club. Kathy stated she just wanted their cheapest car wash.

This lady forced her canned sales pitch on Kathy anyway. Kathy said, “I’ve been coming here for two years. I just want the cheapest car wash.”

The attendant angrily said, “You’ve disrespected me! I refuse to serve you. You need to leave.” Multiple cars behind Kathy were all forced to back up just so that Kathy could leave.

Philippians 2:3 teaches, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.”

If you want to retain customers, forcing your selfish agenda on them is not an effective strategy.
