Abraham desperately wanted a son and couldn’t wait for God to come through. He violated integrity when he impregnated his wife’s maid. She had a son, Ishmael, who fathered a nation that’s always been at war with Israel.
Proverbs 10:9 says, “People with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will be exposed.”
Follow the straight path, even when it appears boring. Never let the power of a great opportunity tempt you to compromise your integrity. Your misstep will be exposed, and likely will cost more than you thought.
