A Harvard Business Review article entitled, “Where Religious Identity Fits into Your DEI Strategy” provides reasons and seven practices to help companies embrace religious diversity. Seventy-seven percent of Americans claim that religion is important to their lives, yet in many workplaces, the subject is taboo.

The first practice this article recommends is to change your attitude from, religion is a risk to religion is an asset. It amazes me that most leaders want an ethical workplace, yet they expect their employees to leave their faith at home.

Hebrews 10:38 says, “My righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”

For many, faith has shaped their moral codes. Shouldn’t their faith be an asset rather than a risk to your organization?
