Donnie Smith, CEO of Tyson Foods, shared at a conference about a Tyson employee who seemed “troubled.” When asked, the employee told Donnie that since her husband’s death, she had lost hope and saw no reason to live.
Donnie took time to “share the Gospel” with her and she prayed to follow Jesus, giving her hope and purpose.
Donnie reminds us that we all have a calling from God to be ministers of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18 teaches, “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”
As Christians, Jesus reconciled us to God and then called us to reconcile others to Jesus. In your workplace, be sensitive to your employer, but don’t overlook those needing the hope of Christ.
