A company asked me to help a new employee develop a plan to pay off a large amount of debt. This employee had accumulated dozens of payday loans, and pawn shop debts, during a long period of unemployment.
The employer’s leadership team surprised us by choosing to imitate the kindness of God. They are personally loaning this couple enough money to consolidate their debt, interest free.
Their employee now will be able to focus on his job, instead of repaying creditors.
Ephesians 5:1 says, “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us.”
Although this plan may or may not work out, this couple has certainly felt the love of God through the employer’s kindness.
