Jesus was innocent of all charges against him, yet on the original Good Friday, He was whipped, mocked, nailed to a cross and tortured to death. It must have broken Jesus’ heart to realize that most of His disciples scattered in fear, rather than standing with him to the end.
Many people who proclaim to be Christians on Sunday also tend to scatter from Jesus come Monday morning at work.
Jesus said in Matthew 10:33, “But whoever denies Me before people, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.”
We can think that being a good person at work is enough to show that you follow Jesus, but if your work associates testified on trial, would they be able to prove that you’re a Christian?
