A bright spot in the faith at work movement is in corporate America through Employee Resource Groups (ERG). American Airlines was this year’s winner of the most faith friendly Fortune 500 workplace because of the Corporate Religious Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (REDI) Index.
American Airlines allows employee-led faith gatherings, hosts interfaith events, encourages community outreach partnerships, and provides Prayer Rooms.
American Airlines also hosts quarterly events they call “Abraham’s Tent.” These meetings encourage employees from different religious beliefs to gather and discuss the differences and similarities of their faith traditions.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 teaches, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
If you work for a large organization, join or encourage the launching of a faith-based ERG in your organization.
