When Black Friday began in 1975 as a new Christmas marketing idea, there was only one choice for shoppers: go to the store and buy in person. Due to the internet, Black Friday looks much different today.
In 2021, 66 million people went to a store on Black Friday, while 88 million people shopped online that day.
Predicting how much traffic might be in-store versus online is critical for retailers due to inventory management and website development. The challenge is that no one can accurately predict buying habits from year to year.
Proverbs 20:18 says, “Prepare plans by consultation, and make war by wise guidance.”
If you must make risky business decisions based on variable trends, seek wise counsel, pray, and plan accordingly. Doing so could make or break your year.
