The final letter in our TRUST acronym is T for Truth. You can serve others, build a strong relationship, and even exceed expectations, yet undermine all the trust you’ve built by lying.
Jesus only spoke Truth. Before committing to follow him, Peter and Andrew spent enough time with Jesus, that they knew whether or not He was a liar. The final truth that cemented it for Peter was when Jesus said, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”
Luke 5:9 teaches, “For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken.”
Jesus once again, proved He was a truth teller. If you desire to build trust, it’s critical that you be a truth teller, not a liar.
