Albert Einstein said, “I speak to everyone the same whether he is the garbage man or the president of the university.”

Einstein draws to the surface that respect and honor are given regardless of class, stature or position. Withholding honor is inappropriate.

Romans 13:7 says, “Pay to all what is owed to them; taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed and honor to whom honor is owed.”

The book of Romans enlightens the reader to the notion that withholding respect, honor, payment, taxes and revenue that are due, is stealing. This concept seems obvious in regard to money. Less obvious, however, is withholding of respect and honor, which the Bible does classify as stealing.
