In 2001, I owned a consulting practice that morphed into less consulting and more ministry. God’s blessing on those ministry activities led to forming a nonprofit today called Unconventional Business Network.

During that transition I wanted to assure that I was following God’s vision rather than mine. I fasted, prayed and journaled. The result was a document outlining God’s vision for UBN.

There were many ideas in that document which I had never done before, like events and radio. The plan was so daunting that it became clear that the vision was God’s, not mine!

Remarkably, God continues to fulfill His plan.

Proverbs 16:3 teaches, “Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established.”

If you desire a business that pleases God, seek His plan, not yours
