A friend of mine had history with a publicly traded company that had invested heavily in a DEI program. He believed their program was harming the business.
He called a board member to ask a simple but profound question.
“What problem were you trying to solve with this program?”
The program has since been discontinued.
Many businesses get caught up in the fads of the day, trying to solve problems that don’t even exist. It’s wise to ask tough questions like why, or what problem are you trying to solve, before making commitments.
God modeled this idea when He questioned Job. In Job 38:3 God said, “Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.”
Asking tough questions early can save companies from great harm.
