Wheaton College’s Center for Faith and Innovation performed a multiple-year research project to explore how faith manifests itself in business. They categorized faith activities into three distinct categories.
The final category is Internalized Faith.
This category is more challenging to identify. Being a company that is family-oriented, compassionate, or merciful may all be examples of internalized faith.
The heart and soul of the organization reflects values that Jesus himself would embrace. Eventually faith spreads throughout the entire organization, with or without policies.
In Matthew 13:33, Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”
Internalized faith takes time, dedication, and strong leadership before it permeates every part of the organization.
