Many small business owners engage their children in helping with the family business. When these children are groomed for future leadership positions, it can sometimes lead to significant conflict.
As the next generation begins to learn the business, they often want to do it their way, which can lead to rebellion and disrespect of their parents.
Exodus 20:12 teaches, “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.”
If you’re in a family business, remember to honor your parents even when you disagree.
