Years ago, we hosted Michael Franzese as one of our event speakers. Michael spent nine years in prison as a result of following his own code of ethics.
As an ex-member of the Mafia, Michael believed in, and followed, the Machiavellian code of ethics until his spiritual conversion. Machiavelli taught that anything is acceptable for pursuing self-interest and personal gain.
If you were a victim of his crimes, however, I doubt you would appreciate Michael’s code of ethics.
Proverbs 14:12 teaches, “There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”
Our youth are being trained that truth is relative, and that they shouldn’t judge others. If our communities were full of Machiavellian’s we would quickly see the flaw in that logic. God’s code is best!
