I’m often asked, “What’s the biggest hurdle in people integrating their faith at work?” My response is fear.
The fear of being sued prevents many from expressing their faith in the marketplace. The other fear is that peers may ridicule or mistreat us if we’re public about our faith.
A recent Religion at Work study claims 32 per cent of the respondents reported being subjected to mockery, exclusion, mistreatment, isolation, stereotyping, and discrimination when expressing their religious identity at work.
In Matthew 5:11, Jesus said, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven.”
Don’t allow what others say or think prevent you from God’s rewards.
