While driving through Chick-fil-a, I noticed two bumper stickers on the car in front of me. One said, “Separation of Church and State.” The other said, “I don’t care what the Bible says.”
Yet, this female driver told the order taker, “I just love Chick-fil-a!” It seemed that this person likely didn’t understand the irony in her love for Chick-fil-a, while having a disdain for God.
From the time I spent with Chick-fil-a’s founder, Truett Cathy, before his passing, I think he believed wholeheartedly in the principle behind 1 Corinthians 10:31, “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
Your customers may not love the God you serve, but that doesn’t prevent you from glorifying God by serving those customers well.
