My wife, Kathy, recently shared with a group of friends that she was named “The Best Waitress in Kansas City” in 1985 by a local magazine. Kathy was quick to say, “There were many waitresses far better than me, but I was fortunate to learn who I was serving.”
Her award came about because a busboy informed Kathy that she was waiting on Tom Leathers, the publisher of The Squire Magazine. When she knew who she was working for, she was able to go above and beyond, providing him the best service he could imagine.
Colossians 3:23 teaches, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
As followers of Jesus, we should serve each customer as if we are serving Jesus Himself.
