In Jordan Raynor’s book, “Redeeming Your Time,” he references significant data that suggests that our bodies work in cycles. These cycles are called Ultradian Cycles.
Basically, Jordan contends that our bodies work best in blocks of 90-minute cycles before we need a short break. These short breaks allow us to be more productive.
Jordan references a study that Sony performed. Sony discovered that 90% of over 2000 Sony workers exhibited higher performance when they took short breaks throughout the workday.
In Matthew 11:29, Jesus said, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
God desires us to be rested and fruitful. To be more productive, consider periodic times of short rest throughout your workday.
