Senator Bernie Sanders recently proposed to change the workweek from 40 hours a week to 32 hours for the same pay. Any hours worked after that would require employers to pay overtime. 

Although some data looks favorable for those companies who have shifted to a 4-day workweek, there are other factors that need to be considered. 

A shortened work week may work well for employees and for some industries, but I don’t know if it will work for all industries. It’s important to understand the data, but also, we should seek God’s view and wisdom. 

Proverbs 3:5 reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
