According to the Houston Chronicle, during Jason Burch’s interview with the CEO of Questback, a Norway based survey company, Burch was asked if he was religious. When he stated that he attended church and believed in God, the CEO asked if he would mind working for atheists.

Jason was hired, but when he was introduced to his co-workers, the President of Questback told Burch’s co-workers that Burch was hired because the CEO had inappropriately asked him about his religion. When Burch filed a religious discrimination claim he was fired.

Jesus reminded us in John 15:20, “Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.”

If you take your faith seriously, don’t be surprised when you suffer persecution.
