One of God’s warnings in scripture, that many business leaders ignore, is Paul’s directive to not become unequally yoked in business. I have counseled many businesspeople over the years against partnering with someone not in alignment with their faith and values.
Unfortunately, some have ignored my counsel, often due to their desire to secure funding for their business. Many who ignored God’s wisdom suffered as their businesses have imploded due to nasty partnership disputes.
King David is referencing the importance of God’s rules when he says in Psalm 19:11, “Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.”
God’s rules and principles are designed for our good. Not only does God give us warnings to prevent our suffering, He also desires to reward obedience.
