When I was sixteen, I was driving my grandpa’s new Chevrolet Impala. Before he fell asleep my grandpa said, “Make sure you’re driving the speed limit when you near 291 highway. They usually have speed traps there.”
Unfortunately, I didn’t listen. At 291 highway I was stopped by a state trooper. Even to this day, when I near that location I catch myself glancing at my speedometer.
As followers of Jesus, when we violate God’s rules, we will suffer the consequences. The fear of God and His consequences are enduring.
Psalm 19:9 says, “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.”
In business, as well as in life, God’s rules and His consequences are meant for our good.
