Cynthia was an executive for a large bank responsible for multiple departments. Her bank job was more than full-time, but she felt called to explore buying a McDonalds franchise.
Due to Cynthia’s lack of restaurant experience, McDonald’s required that she work at a McDonald’s for an indefinite period. Cynthia carried out her daily bank duties, managed her family responsibilities and worked at McDonalds.
Cynthia became exhausted and wanted to quit. In despair, one day she stopped under a bridge and cried out for God’s help.
God granted her peace and the endurance to persevere. Today, Cynthia owns six McDonalds!
James 1:4 says, “Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
God’s call is not often easy, but perseverance brings maturity and completeness.
