Many people feel like groaning or complaining when taxes are discussed, but not Rachel. Rachel is the most passionate person about tax that I have ever met!
When Rachel talks about tax accounting, her eyes light up and she becomes animated. God has wired each of us uniquely, and yes, some are even wired to enjoy taxes.
In Luke 3 we read, “And some tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to Jesus, ‘Teacher, what shall we do?’ And He said to them, ‘Collect no more than what you have been ordered to.’”
Jesus didn’t tell the tax collectors to quit their job. He told them to work with integrity. Others may condemn our profession and urge us to try something different, but Jesus did not.
