I love new ideas. One thing that I’ve discovered, however, is when I chase a new idea that I dream up without God’s input, it usually doesn’t have a great result.
However, there are times when God will give me an assignment that I wouldn’t normally consider. After receiving affirmation that this new assignment is from God, I have marveled at the success and profitable nature of God’s plan.
God told Israel in Isaiah 48:17, “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.”
We need to learn to discern between what we think is a good idea, and a God idea. God’s ideas are far more profitable.
