There used to be a degree of civility and respect that permeated most workplaces. This seems to be harder to find in today’s world.
The issues of the day can be so contentious that many workers tend to avoid controversial conversations at all. When people do engage, it can lead to tempers flaring.
As Christians in the workplace we have a tool God has given us to overcome incivility. This tool is called love.
1 Corinthians 13 teaches, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”
If you find yourself in a heated situation at work, remember to love others.
