Valentine’s Day is one of romance and love. Love is a word rarely heard in the workplace. In part, that may be due to the limitations of the word itself.

In the Greek, they have at least five different words to distinguish the different types of love, but in English, we have just one.

Jesus taught us to love our neighbor. This form of love was called “agape” in the Greek. Agape means, “the highest form of love, charity.”

Leviticus 19:18 teaches, “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.”

As you try to love your neighbor today in your workplace, remember, the key is to be charitable in treating others as you would want treated.
