Integrity Moments is a 60 second workday devotional that provides business leaders with helpful insight into what the Bible says about our work and how we can fully integrate our faith into our vocational calling.

In 1968, President’s Day was instituted to be celebrated on the third Monday of February to memorialize both President Abraham Lincoln and George Washington’s birthdays.

According to the Farmer’s Almanac, Congress passed the Monday Holiday Law to “provide uniform annual observances of certain legal public holidays on Mondays.” By creating more 3-day weekends, Congress hoped to “bring substantial benefits to both the spiritual and economic life of the Nation.”

Israel also honored its leaders. Exodus 28:29 says, “Whenever Aaron enters the Holy Place, he will bear the names of the sons of Israel over his heart on the breastpiece of decision as a continuing memorial before the Lord.”

Taking a day to honor our forefathers and leaders, whether in government or business, shapes our culture and is time well spent.
