A recent Wall Street Journal article highlighted research that claims that three million workforce dropouts don’t plan to return to pre-Covid activities. This is due to persistent fear of illness or physical impairments.
These researchers have labeled this phenomenon “long social distancing.” They claim this trend may be long lasting and could negatively impact employment levels and inflation for some time.
Although some have legitimate physical concerns for leaving the workplace, a significant number are missing due to fear and anxiety.
In Isaiah 41:10, God told the Israelites, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.”
Let’s pray for those who have left the marketplace due to fear; to trust God at His word.
