25 miles north of Yellowstone Park you can see evidence of how quickly life can change. Late on August 17, 1959, the second largest earthquake of the 20th century struck the Hebgen Dam area.
In less than two minutes, an 80-million-ton landslide stripped the Sheep Mountain of trees and boulders, damaged the dam and stopped the Madison river. A 125 feet deep Earthquake Lake was formed as a result.
28 people died instantly, families were destroyed and property damage was experienced for hundreds of miles.
James 4 teaches, “You do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.”
Making business plans is important, but also remember, your life is just a vapor.
