Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Many years ago, Integrity Resource Center hosted Truett Cathy, the founder of Chick-fil-a, as a speaker at one of our events. Prior to the event, several influential business leaders arrived early with the hope of spending some time with Mr. Cathy.
But, Truett had disappeared. As I went searching for him, I found him talking and praying with the doorman of the hotel!
While some celebrity leaders would have only spent time with those people of prominence, Truett valued and loved every person. His humility made him a very special and godly leader.
Proverbs 18:12 teaches, “Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.”
If you desire honor and prominence in your work, remember that living and leading with humility needs to be priority number one.
