My friend and former police officer, Steve, once told me, “I never had a problem chasing a man that I suspected had a gun. But if I had to stand before a large audience and speak like you do, I would be petrified.”
God didn’t design Steve for public speaking, and He didn’t design me to pursue criminals.
1 Peter 4:10 says, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies.”
Whatever gifts God has given you, need to be discovered and used to God’s glory. When possible, pursue roles that God has gifted you to perform.
