A Washington Times article by wealth manager, David Bahnsen, contends that much of the faith at work movement has focused on encouraging Christians to simply “get promoted and avoid sinful behavior on the job.” Mr. Bahnsen believes the next phase of this movement needs to focus on transforming industries by thoughtfully applying a deeper Christian worldview.
Mr. Bahnsen is correct that our faith applied at work can be multi-faceted. A Christian worldview can change strategies, business practices, and entire industries.
In Matthew 6:10, Jesus prayed, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
God has much more for our vocation than working with integrity for a paycheck. Imagine if we transformed our industry through creative and loving business practices that only comes from God.
