While meeting Roger for lunch, Roger asked me to tell my wife, Kathy, “not to take offense if she hadn’t heard back from his wife.” Roger explained that his wife had taken over the day-to-day responsibility for their family business and was chairing a ministry board that was building a new facility!

In pursuit of excellence, Roger’s wife began saying “no” to everything else. One of the hardest parts of time management is to have the courage and wisdom of when to say “No.”

James 5:12 says, “Your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you may not fall under judgment.”

When we say “yes” to everything, we will likely be judged for poor performance. Some seasons require us to “just say no!”
