Recently, I was invited to a networking event primarily for CEOs. When I introduced myself to someone the inevitable question would surface, “What is it that you do?”

When I shared that I ran a nonprofit focused on equipping business leaders to integrate their faith into their work, I would get one of two responses.

Either they’d light up and begin sharing about their own faith, or they’d look at me with glazed eyes and exit as quickly as possible.

1 John 4:6 says, “We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us.”

In your workplace interactions, be alert to who is listening and who isn’t. Doing so may impact how you choose to interact with them.
