Our ministry hosted 25 CEO’s to tour Cambridge Engineering in St. Louis. Part of the tour allowed us to attend a daily 15-minute voluntary staff meeting.
In only 15 minutes they did stretching exercises, showed 25 brief videos of quality improvements produced by staff, shared praise reports, and presented a gag gift to an intern!
Cambridge believes building community and staying focused on improvement in their people and processes is worth the cost of over 100 people’s time for 15 minutes.
Jesus said in Luke 16:9, “I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.”
Sometimes a significant financial investment is needed for the intangible gain of building a community and caring for people.
