In 1 Kings 22, King Ahab and King Jehoshaphat have decided to go to war with a neighboring nation, even though the prophet Micaiah has told them King Ahab will die in battle.
Ahab decides to go to battle anyway, but just in case the prophet is right Ahab decides to disguise himself in battle. Ahab seems to think he’s smarter than God.
Despite his disguise he gets shot by a so called “random” arrow and dies.
In 1 Kings 22:34 we read, “But someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the sections of his armor. “
His plan to hide from God didn’t work. If you’re planning something immoral, or against God’s wishes, at work, remember you can’t hide from God.
