This week we’re discussing four insights the Apostle Paul shares in Ephesians 4:29 that can help guard our tongues against gossip in the workplace. The third insight is Only Necessary Words.
Years ago, I served on the board of a new school. One day I received a call from an upset parent who had heard multiple rumors about the leadership of the school.
After research, we finally discovered the source. One mother was a “gossip” who was calling people and adding wild speculation to each conversation until the story had been blown far out of proportion!
James 3:8 says, “But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison.”
To guard against gossip and harmful words, speak only what’s necessary for the moment.
