Recently, Kathy and I visited a church that hosted a video message from Will Graham, Billy Graham’s grandson. Will highlighted a story when King David asked God if he could attack the approaching Philistines.
God gave David permission and victory. But soon the Philistines decided to attack again in the same place and same way.
Once again, David asked for God’s direction. This time God gave David a different battle plan. He said in 2 Samuel 5:23, “You shall not go directly up; circle around behind them and come at them in front of the balsam trees.” Once again David was victorious.
If you have a familiar problem, don’t assume God wants you to handle it the same way. God wants you to ask Him how to proceed.
