Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
John Mark Comer, in his book Garden City: Work Rest and the Art of Being Human, asks readers, “Do you see your work as an essential part of your discipleship to Jesus and as the primary way that you join him in his work of renewal?”
He goes on to say, “If not, you should.” Work is the mission field in which we have been planted to hone our skills of work, but also as disciples of Jesus.
1 Corinthians 3:9 says, “For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.”
Whether you’re a farmer sowing or a production supervisor managing, or an executive casting vision, you are God’s co-worker bringing renewal to systems, harvesting, mentoring, managing. Whatever your vocation, you are indeed God’s co-worker.
