A Kansas City Business Journal article recently highlighted some statistics related to a trend of Gen Z job applicants ghosting their employers. According to a survey by Resume.com, ghosting seems to take shape in three major forms.

First, 27% of Gen Z applicants accept a job offer but never complete the process. 26% complete the process but never show up for work. Finally, 29% of Gen Z applicants disappear during or after the first week without giving notice.

Romans 13:7 teaches, “Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.”

For young adults starting their career, remember that ghosting employers is disrespectful. Would you appreciate being ghosted?
