In this series, we are looking at five traits common to successful entrepreneurs and how unconventional business leaders should approach each. Today’s trait is Balanced Diligence.

Entrepreneurship is hard work. Successful founders work long, hard hours to bring their plans to fruition, and many entrepreneurs push their teams almost to the breaking point in pursuit of success.

But throughout the Bible, we see patterns of balancing hard work with times of rest. This Sabbath principle is essential to healthy, and God-honoring success.

In Deuteronomy 5, God commands: “Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.” He commands this rest for His people, their servants, and their means of production.

Unconventional entrepreneurs value both hard work and meaningful rest.
