In my new book, “Unconventional Business,” I identify five steps towards developing a healthy ethical culture. Step four is to “Communicate, communicate, communicate.”
If you don’t constantly communicate your values and vision for the future, they will be easily forgotten.
Some creative leaders host events focused on company values. Others use TV screens with their values scrolling on the screen, or post signs on office walls.
In Deuteronomy 6, God communicated God’s Word by telling the Israelites, “You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
For you to develop a healthy culture, it’s crucial that you communicate your values frequently and consistently.
