Technology has made it easier to make employment more transactional rather than relational. Thanks to technology, employees have new job opportunities available to them virtually each day. Some accept a position, begin work, then never return.
Romans 13:7 teaches, “Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.”
If you’re a new employee, consider what you owe your employer who invested time and money in hiring you. Respect and honor should guide your actions.
