Speaker and author, Nicole Unice, shared with our Des Moines audience recently an incredible insight for those immersed in a workplace conflict. Nicole informed us that distance creates distrust.
I don’t know about you, but when I’m having a conflict with someone that I’m struggling to resolve, I tend to avoid them for a while. If I must work with this person in the future, however, my avoidance and distance will increase their distrust of me, and my distrust of them.
Ephesians 4:26 teaches, “In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”
If you’re in an unresolved conflict, don’t allow distance to create distrust. Work towards reconciliation as I’m learning to do.
