A new friend of mine was asked to present at a church marriage event about the topic of sex. He was hesitant, but he and the church leadership team prayerfully worked through the potential pitfalls.
Then, someone urged the leadership of the church not to tackle the subject of sex. After additional debate and prayer, leadership decided not to allow one voice to deprive others from learning on such an important subject.
The marriage retreat was a roaring success!
Galatians 5:16 says, “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit.”
It’s important to listen to dissenting voices, but don’t allow one voice to override what the Spirit is leading you to do.
