Sometime back I recall reading about a nasty situation where two Christian business leaders were suing each other. Both were known in the community as being very vocal about their faith, so I was grieved to read that their vicious battle had spilled over into the courts.
Not only were their personal testimonies undermined, but also they gave others the opportunity to once again proclaim Christians as hypocrites.
1 Corinthians 6:7-8 teaches, “The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers.”
Christians suing Christians is usually a good indication that money means more to them than their faith.
