Musician Chris Tomlin was once interviewed by a reporter who asked how he reconciled the fact that he leads worship to God, but the spotlight is on Chris. After reflection, Chris shared that his job is to “be the moon.”
Chris further shared, “The moon has no source of power, but it reflects the light from the sun. My job is to reflect the light of Jesus.” Chris Tomlin produced, “Be the Moon” to emphasize the point.
Chris’ thoughts also serve business leaders well. As followers of Jesus, we are called to be like the moon and reflect God’s glory to others.
Psalm 115:1 says, “Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory.”
When others are praising you, remember to point them to God.
